Chotynia

Only 70 km southeast from Warsaw you can suddenly find yourself in a place where time seems to have stopped. Several years ago the atmospheric 19th century manor house was turned into a hotel, and today it is a unique place that combines historical interiors, excellent cuisine and a wide range of wine.

Chotynia TOURISM

Apart from the gorgeous manor, the neighbourhood is rather monotonous, but one advantage is a local park covering some two hectares, or the pond with an island near the manor. Chotynia ensures a relaxing holiday as the area forms good conditions to walk, ride bikes or fish.

The nearby village of Sobolew is sizeable and has over 3,000 inhabitants. The closest attractions to Chotynia are the church in Sobolew, the Kosciuszko Mound in Krepa erected to commemorate the battle of Maciejowice, and a palace and remnants of mediaeval settlement in Kalen.

GEOGRAPHY

Chotynia is situated in Sobolew community, about 70 km from Warsaw and 100 km from Lublin. The closest towns are Garwolin, Laskarzew and Ryki. The landscape of this area is typical for the Masovia region, with flat large meadows and some small woods.
