HISTORY
Bolko I, also known as Prince Swidnicko-Jaworski, ordered the construction of the castle in Ksiaz. Originally built of stone, the castle was reconstructed and enlarged a number of times over the following centuries. The first builder to remodel it, between 1483 and 1490, was Maciej Korwin. After the last reconstruction during 1908-1923, the castle grew to become a magnificent residence of barons. It was through this final reconstruction that it received its eclectic facade with two towers. |
