The Poznan-Lawica sp. z o.o. airport is situated 7 km from the city center - where the Poznan International Fairs are organized - and close to the Warsaw-Berlin thoroughfare. It is easily accessible by bus (numbers 59 and 78).

HISTORY:
The Poznan airport was established in 1913, when the city was in the partition controlled by Prussia. First planes took off from the airport to Warsaw and Gdansk during a world exhibition on 10th May 1921. It received the status of an international airport in 1993. The current terminal was introduced to public use on 4th November 2001.
