Dom Muzyka, or the House of the Musician, is located near the city centre, in the Dlugie Ogrody quarter neighbouring the Island of Granaries and next to the Warsaw road. Some of the rooms overlook the very green yard, the terrace and the benches there. Walking to see the old city attractions should take about a quarter of an hour. The railway station is 2 km away.
Dom Muzyka is located in a former 19-century Prussian barracks, built of a pleasant shade of yellow brick. The hotel is a part of the fenced complex of the music academy, and you enter on foot through the secure entry or drive in through the guarded gate. In accordance with the hotel slogan, everything is music, even the silence. The unusual atmosphere of the venue is created by the visiting virtuosos, the music students rushing for rehearsals, and people waiting for the regular concerts in the hall. On the walls hang concert announcements and graphics with musical motives, there are TVs set to music channels, and even music logo carpets. Inside the high, cream-coloured single, double, lux rooms and the suite are bathrooms with showers, cable TV, anti-allergenic bedding, kettles and tea. Rooms that have windows overlooking the road are air-conditioned. Lux rooms and the suite are equipped with refrigerators and scales. The internet is freely accessible in all rooms and in the computer corner.
