JB is located on a leafy main road near the Stalinist steelworks on the outer fringes of bombastic Nova Huta. Nova is a tourist attraction in its own right with its OTT communist architecture. Going further back in the city's past is the Wanda Mound nearby the hotel, a grassy knoll climbed for its city views. It's about a 15 minute drive to the city centre or 20 minutes on a bus from the 'Kombinat' stop.
JB breathes refreshing modernity into commie infused Nova Huta. Its entrance leads straight into a bright, airy lobby bar with zinc counter, while a rustic themed restaurant with tranquil water feature lies around another corner. Comfortable rooms are all a decent size, with built-in furnishings and extras including mini-bar and safe. Rooms on one side get wow factor access to a gorgeous mosaic floored conservatory, stuffed full of lush, tropical greenery.
