'A cute hotel' is how one of our customers sums up the Kontrast which nestles among pine trees. It takes about 20 minutes by cab or 40 minutes by bus and tram from the nearest stop ‘Kąpielowa’ to reach the medieval market square. The hotel’s close to the A4 for Warsaw and Balice Airport can be reached in about 20 minutes. In Łagiewniki is the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, sanctified by the Pope in 2002 and now a popular stop for Catholic pilgrims.
The Swiss-Chalet style Kontrast has a welcoming reception with double wood panelled staircase leading up to its room. Chambers are built into the eves on the first floor. All have plain walls, green and orange furnishings, flat-screen TVs and frilly lace curtains. Some rooms catch a glimpse of the surrounding forest. Bathrooms with shower are plain and simple. The Three Cooks Restaurant, decked out in similar country cottage look, and a conference room big enough for a barn dance, wraps up what's on offer here. The Kontrast is a good choice for anyone wanting the best of city and nature, or for bushed-out business folk.
