The Hotel Wilga is on the other side of the Wisła river from the main city centre and is situated on a side street just off the Konopnickiej Highway. There are frequent trams and buses near to the hotel that take about ten minutes to reach Wawel and about six minutes to Kazimierz. The main bus and train stations are about a 15 minute cab ride away.
The Wilga is a modern hotel offering comfortable, mid-range accommodation. Air conditioned rooms are all furnished in shades of grey, with small desks and chairs, radio and TV. Bathrooms come with a shower and a few have a bath as well. Triple rooms are particularly big - no falling over each other in here. One suite on the top floor can sleep up to five and has its own kitchen/dining area and mini-bar. With a restaurant dishing up lunches and dinners, two conference rooms and an outside patio the deal should be complete, but the Wilga has more. Below stairs is a US style bowling alley, complete with snazzy bowling balls, billiards table and late night bar. With this on hand the Wilga would make a great choice for groups of young people, or even as an alternative place for business execs to let off steam.
