The hotel is located on one of the main streets of the Old Town, almost next door to the medieval Grodzka Gate. A few steps up this ancient street is the Plac po Farze square with the foundations of the former first church in the city, and a little further is the Rynek, or ‘Market Square’, and any number of pubs and restaurants, plus galleries, theatres, and a tourist information office. Not too far is the coach station, where you can find a bus to any other town or city. You have to climb a few steps up from Grodzka Street to the main entrance with its intercom, but guests can also use the exit through the terrace, down the wooden stairs leading to Podwale Street. Half of the rooms have a street view and the remainder a view of the castle on its small hill on the flat Bystrzyca River flood plain.
The hotel is housed in a historical, renovated three-storey apartment house. Thanks to the old walls and stylish interiors based on Fin de Siècle, it has a unique atmosphere that is very attractive, and many of the guests return time and time again. There are six rooms and suites, each in a different colour scheme. The modern furniture is in the Louis XVI style, while the curtains and tapestries are very Victorian. All rooms are equipped with bathrooms, large beds, satellite TV, and desks, whereas suites also have mini-bars. There is computer corner near the reception, and smoking corner upstairs, which along with the terrace are only places where smoking is allowed. The breakfast buffet counter is rather small, but suits the modest size of the building. Coffee and tea can be served upon request.
