Hostel Kinga is sited on a residental road in the town of Wieliczka, famed for its fabulous medieval salt mines and caves. It's about a five minute walk to the salt mines and main train and bus stations which have good connections to Krakow city centre. On the 304 bus it takes 45 minutes to reach the city centre and by rail around 30 minutes. Balice Airport is about a 30 minute drive away.
Hostel Kinga offers a mixed bag of budget conscious rooms. Enter the hostel and warm Mediterranean tiled corridors lead to some micro-sized pods. These come with twin beds, flat screen TV, titchy seating space, washbasin and shower cubicle. Shared loos are in the corridors. Larger rooms have a full en-suite shower room. All are bright, white spaces with hints of colour and charm courtesy of tulip patterned nets, shades and pictures. The basement restaurant knocks out a good line in hearty Polish fare. All in all, Kinga's a great all round choice for anyone wanting a cosy, cheap as chips place to bed down in.
