Hotel Solny is located on the edge of Wieliczka, about a 15 minute walk from the main square. The town's biggest pull is the salt mine, filled with salt carvings and statues, about a 20 minute walk away. Krakow's city centre can be reached in 45 minutes by bus 304 or in half an hour by train. Also within easy access is the airport, a 30 minute drive, and the town of Niepołomice.
Solny offers no nonsense simply furnished rooms, ideal for anyone looking for a no-fuss place to bed down. All sleeping quarters are kitted out in identical red and yellow colour schemes and come with hotel issue furnishings. A plus is that all rooms come with their own private balcony. A billiard room and sauna provides some on-site entertainment and the roomy restaurant knocks out all the old Polish pleasing-favourites.
