The Adria Pension is situated next to a park that houses a small museum and tennis courts. To reach the pension's entrance guests need to turn down a driveway. and then first left and up a flight of steps. Note, there's no sign outside the hotel. Zakopane's main high street can be reached on foot in around ten minutes. Nearby the pension is the Kornel Makuszyński Museum, which charts the life story of this Polish author.
For affordable, no-frills city centre accommodation, the Adria is hard to beat. On offer are a range of single, twin, double rooms and three studios. Most have parquet flooring and are comfortably equipped with slightly dated furnishings. A helpful touch are the kettles and alarm clock in every space. However, the rooms are on the smallish side and the functional shower rooms are titchy. Another wing in the hotel has larger pine clad rooms under the sloping eves for up to six. Upstairs is a rather unloved looking bar, but coming soon will be a brand, new basement bar, that should pep things up at the Adria. Also on hand is a billiard room and sauna - guaranteed to soothe world weary hikers.
