Fian is set down a driveway behind a restaurant of the same name. It will take around 20 minutes to walk to Krupowki, the city's main high street, and about 35 minutes to the funicular railway which scales Gubalowka Mountain. About a ten minute walk away is Trollandia, a fun kids adventure playground with treetop rope courses. Heading away from the city centre will lead to the Nosal Mountain peaks and ski lifts and eventually the wilds of the Tatra National Park.
Fian offers modest accommodation located in a chalet style building surrounded by evergreens. Rooms range from singles to spaces that can sleep up to five visitors. All are equipped with beds, some of which are on the small side, wooden tables, an easy chair, kettles and built-in storage space. Functional bathrooms all come with a shower. Room sizes vary and some suffer from an awkward layout. About half the rooms have balconies and there is a sauna, jacuzzi and solarium for an extra fee. A nice touch is the handy free to grab tea selection located in the corridor. There are two restaurants - one in the hotel and a woodcutter's cabin style taverna facing the main road - both of which dish up filling highlander fare.
