From the outside the Gromada is a hulking block of grey concrete with a few cafe bars outside. Look carefully for the entrance as its a little indistinguishable between the mix of eateries. The hotel's location is very central, just off the busy thoroughfare, Krupowki, and is close to many bars, restaurants and shops. The main bus and train stations are a ten minute walk away and also nearby is the Gubałowka market and funicular railway, ski lifts and swimming pools.
Grey the Gromada might be on the outside but inside the reception sparkles colour thanks to an array of art work displayed along its walls. The hotel offers standard and studio rooms. Standards are a bit tight space wise, and come with simple, dated fitted furnishings, TV, radio and desk. Carpets are looking a little threadbare in spots. Bathrooms are clean and functional most with shower only. The term studio needs to be taken with caution - as they are just two narrow bedrooms fitted with a fridge and kettle, that share a bathroom. From some rooms you can just see the mountain ranges. Only first floor rooms have Wi-Fi as they get hooked up courtesy of the cafe's hot spot access. Overall, the Gromada could benefit from a little redecorating, but it's close to all the city centre action, has good bars and cafes down below and doubles up nicely as an impromptu art gallery.
