The Bristol Hotel occupies a central spot along the main pedestrianized high street in Bytom. It's easy to reach all the main spots in this Silesian market town from the Bristol, including the main bus and train stations. Katowice is about a half hour drive away, Pyrzowice Airport 45 minutes by car and Krakow around two hours away.
The Bristol is a handsome building with a classical stone carved facade and offers 30 rooms including singles and a few studios dotted around its three floors. All are modestly equipped and have light colour schemes, hotel regulation furniture and free cable Internet access. A conference room is available for up to 40 guests. Adjoining the reception, which appears to have changed little since the Bristol was opened in 1950, is a small no frills cafe/bar serving the hotel's breakfast as well as light meals and snacks throughout the day.
