HOTEL LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
The circular observatory-like entrance fronting the three-storey block building of Dal Hotel signals a recently redesigned but modest accommodation in the Oliwa district of Gdansk. It's ringed by a few shaky structures currently under renovation and a secure parking lot. The international fair grounds are just 2 kilometres away, while the sandy Baltic beach strip is a 10-minute stroll through the forest, which makes a convenient place for travellers on business or leisure. Buses, stopping some 100 metres from the hotel, can shuttle guests to the rapid urban railway station.
Comfort, practicality and efficiency are the key characteristics at this mid-sized hotel. After receiving a stylish makeover in 2010, rooms now boast colourful stripped carpets, beds bound in gold covers, plus dark wood wardrobes and desks. Balconies and shower-only bathrooms are uniform as are three star trimmings: satellite TVs, telephones and Wi-Fi Internet access. Moreover, the hotel boasts 5 conference rooms equipped with audio/visual devices, air-conditioned restaurant serving a variety of Polish and European meals, drink bar, bike rental, beauty parlour and hairdresser.
This hotel has been visited by our reviewer in November 2010.
