HOTEL LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
This hotel is located in the old part of Gdansk, by the Na Stepce Channel and next to the bridge leading to Olowianka Island, where you can find the philharmonic hall. From the deluxe rooms and suites there is a marvellous view on the historical Motlawa riverside, yacht marina, the Channel and the Island with its Central Maritime Museum, while the superior rooms have a view on Szafarnia Street and its apartment houses. There is a seasonal ferry crossing the Motlawa, while a walk to Long Market outside summer season takes a few minutes.
The hotel was opened in 2000 in a small baroque palace dating back to 1728, known as “Blackhead House”, thanks to the relief above its entrance. You can enjoy the specially chosen equipment, antiques and original paintings exhibited in ten air-conditioned doubles and suites in various colour schemes. Enjoy TV with on-request channels, LCD screens, DVD players, showers with hydro-massage, Jacuzzi, phones, minibars, safe-boxes, and magnetic locks. Additional attractions are: fresh fruit and flowers, top class cosmetics, scales and marbles in the bathrooms. For that something special the top floor can be closed off and the suites joined into one to create the Presidential Suite. Breakfasts are served at any time on real chinaware, on wicker tables on the terrace by an arm of the Motlawa River, or in the rooms themselves. The hotel restaurant is known for its creative chefs, traditional costumes and wine cellar, and has been awarded several times. The Podewils suite is often used for meetings. Internet is provided free of charge.
