Lying on a relatively low-key side street, close to The Green Gate, Willa Biala Lilia is a comfortable, good-value and well-maintained hotel. It occupies a three-storey tenement house in Gdansk's downtown zone, between the Old and New River Motlawa, which is conveniently close to a good number of restaurants and shopping outlets. The central railway station is about 30 minutes on foot.
This inner-city hotel lacks the personality and historical pedigree of neighbouring establishments, but Willa Biala Lilia (While Lily Villa) is a reliable option for those who dig somber modern style and top-notch maintenance. The light-filled lobby, with its purple couches and corner reception area leads up a flight of stairs to the rooms, each equipped with a simple bed, wardrobe plus a small and sterile shower bathroom. Telephones, satellite TVs and Wi-Fi Internet access are also standard. There's a dining room on the ground floor and a bar area in the reception serving coffee, tea and some small snacks.
