HOTEL LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
You'll discover the Copernicus Hotel along one of Krakow's most magical and romantic streets, lying within the shadow of Wawel Castle. Along the cobbles outside you'll find a museum dedicated to Pope John Paul ll, exclusive boutiques and restaurants and the main medieval market square just a five minute saunter away. Kazimierz, the historic Jewish area is close by and the main train and bus stations about a five to ten minute cab ride away.
The Copernicus is probably the most sumptuous hotel conversion in the city, in what used to be a canon's house which the famed astronomer himself frequented. Take a deep breath as you enter and marvel at the beautifully restored ceiling frescoes and the Italian Renaissance inspired conservatory, skilfully designed around a central column. Suites and bedrooms live up to expectations; many have restored artworks and fragments from their past. Luxurious bathrooms boast a glass canopy enhancing the exclusive feel. Rooms on higher floors have a more modern twist and some come with views of Wawel, while others have a balcony overlooking that inner courtyard. If you've bagged the Presidential suite you've either really arrived or you're, well, the President! Plus a cigar lounge and library with leather upholstered sofas, an infinity pool, gym, rooftop bar and a gem of a restaurant - what's not to love?
