This cute little hostel is about a ten minute walk from the city centre. It's tucked away down a side street just opposite Park Inwalidow. Entrance is through a brown door. Next door to Freedom lurks the Silesian House Museum, a former Gestapo HQ where 'state enemies' were tortured and imprisoned.
Freedom Hostel offers bright and cheery private rooms on the top floor of a Cracovian townhouse. Sleeping pods are simply furnished with twin beds in most, built in cupboard space and spick and span modern shower rooms. Some rooms are a little on the small size, but clever flip down furnishings help make the best use of the space. A bright and breezy sunshine colour scheme runs through all the rooms. The corner breakfast/kitchen room is kitted out with everything guests might need to rustle up a snack or a light lunch. Freedom is just the ticket for world-weary travellers or anyone after a budget-busting bed near to the centre of town.
