In a prime location in Kazimierz, the city’s historic Jewish area where you can find magnificent 19th century synagogues, markets and a lively nightlife scene, is Hotel Karmel tucked away just off a main road. The main historic city centre’s just a short 20 minute stroll away. The Pepe Rosso restaurant is on the ground floor, go through the glass door on the right and the reception’s on the first floor.
Simple, low-key refinement is what the Karmel excels in. You won’t find any over the top adornments here, just well-groomed ‘twee’ rooms decked out with traditional style furniture, comforting drapes at the windows and smartly polished floorboards. All the extras, including tea and coffee-making facilities and mini bar, come as standard. Comfort plus rooms have chunky chairs which can be converted into an extra bed. Bathrooms are suitably modern, nothing flash, all fitted with a shower. Some of our customers have mentioned that rooms on the top floor seem a little small. On the second floor there’s a cute balcony to hang out on.
