The Secesja is located on a side street near the Kazimierz district where visitors can immerse themselves in the Jewish history and culture of the area, as well as its heady nightlife. The hotel is opposite St. Catherine’s Church and its ancient walls and is a short stroll from the banks of the Wisła River, Wawel Castle and all the sights and sounds of the medieval market city centre.
Appearances can be a little deceptive at the Secesja Hotel. From the outside its all sharp modern contours with a distinctive angled design, but step inside and it converts into a temple to art nouveau elegance with a gorgeous tulip inspired stained glass window, Tiffany lamps and Parisian metro-style decorations. The rooms and a sauna are set over six floors and offer simple, unfussy comfort in a combination of singles, doubles, twins and suites. Rooms have all the amenties expected, such as mini-bar, modern shower room and air-con, in a hotel of this class. Standard rooms built into the front alcove benefit from a tad more space than others in this category.
