Start is located at the point where the Kapelana Highway intersects with Brozka and Grota Roweckiego. It takes about 20 minutes by a direct bus or tram from stop Borsucza Kobierzynska to the main train station and 15 minutes to the city centre. Nearby is the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy, a popular stop for Catholic pilgrims. A mega Tesco store is located just opposite the hotel.
The Start occupies a forlorn 80s building, at the junction of a busy crossroads. However, there is a possibility to request a room situated in the rear side of the hotel, which overlooks a quite, large garden. The hotel has an institutional feel, with its lino floors and big school notice boards advertising city events. Rooms are arranged over three floors. At the guests disposal there is a restaurant, bar, conference rooms and free parking. Sleeping spaces are fitted out with the minimum essentials for a stay, although some furnishings are showing a good bit of wear and tear. Shower rooms are clean and basic. The Start hotel could be the perfect place for large groups, especially youngsters, mates on a jaunt or anyone watching their purse strings.
