The hotel is situated three tram stops away from Piotrkowska Street, giving you a break from the hustle and noise of the very centre without losing contact with it. There are the Medical University and military offices located nearby, and it is one of closest central Lodz hotels to the airport (20 minutes by taxi) and Aquapark Fala (10 minutes). A stroll away is the Park of Health, the Botanical Garden, the zoo and the Poznanski Palace.
This is a solid pre-war military headquarters building, filled with all the charm of Art Deco with some impressionist paintings on the walls, a monumental lobby with marbles, columns and a staircase, spacious rooms from earlier eras, almost such that one might expect to see Poirot checking-in rather than the military arriving for work. The suite has a canopy over the bed, some of the windows imitate the stained glass of the time, and each floor has been painted and decorated in a theme colour: rose, green, and blue, so there is no way to mistake your floor. The half-open yard accommodates the car park and a small garden. The hotel's slogan "You will not miss home here!" reflects how cosy the hotel is, and how for almost 50 years the staff has cared for its guests, who are mainly business people, students, academics, and artists.
