A chunky five-storey building surrounding by similarly uninspiring structures, Hotel Gromada Poznan is situated in the outer Grunwald district of Poznan. This might be a slightly out-of-action setting, but it makes for a more tranquil atmosphere and there's frequent tram and bus service to central attractions that passes 300 metre's from the hotel.
While some of the interiors show signs of wear, there's a general sense of well-ordered decency and all the three-star amenities, including a restaurant and bar. Standard rooms are furnished with a mixture of plain woods and floral fabrics, plus compact bathrooms with shower cabins and hairdryers. Air-conditioned apartments have a bit more personality, with large windows, sofa beds, coffee/tea making facilities, safe boxes and Jacuzzi tubs.
