HOTEL LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
Posed between the historic Old Town and the International Fair Grounds, Royal Hotel occupies two century-old building, the main property that is access through an arched gateway and an adjacent street facing structure with larger rooms reached only by stairs. The tenement house served as army headquarters during the 1918 Wielkopolska Uprising. It's well connected for exploring the city's dining, shopping and cultural attractions.
A sense of tranquility and history permeates throughout the premises, starting at the cozy lobby with walls displaying photographs of famous guests who have stayed here in years gone by. Rooms are delightfully presented: thick carpets, wood wardrobes and desks and furnishings in different styles - from creams and beiges to deep burgundy-reds. Many look out onto the quiet courtyard with a summer patio behind the hotel, and all have tiled bathrooms with shower cabins or tubs. There's an atmospheric dinning rooms on the main floor, two conference rooms and a team of experienced personnel that will assist in making your stay a memorable one.
This hotel has been visited by our reviewer in February 2010.
