A sparklingly modern accommodation custom-built from scratch in 2009, Hotel Twardowski is situated just off the A2 highway (connecting Poznan with Warsaw and Berlin) in a developing suburb area of Poznan. Despite the closeness of the road, the place feels secluded and sophisticated, straddling the requirement of being suited for both leisure and business travellers. With light traffic, the drive to the inner city takes around 15 minutes, while the same trip with public transport will take double the time.
Harmony and high gloss design march hand in hand at this sophisticated newcomer, which is evident from the moment guests' enter the granite and wood-clad lobby with a tankful of exotic Indonesian fish that was designed in line with Feng Sui principles. This continues into the swanky rooms decked out in rich earthy tones, with comfy bed and dark wood furniture, coffee/tea making facilities, safe boxes, mini-bars and fleecy robes and slippers. Parts of the hotel are still under construction: a massive grill terrace, winter garden and outdoor tennis court and play area will be ready to launch by the summer of 2010, but there's already stylishly decorated restaurant, bar, underground music pub and fitness and spa area room with swimming pool and sauna will keep guests entertained during the day. Staff treat guests' with focused kindness, provide assistance and simply answer any questions (so don't hesitate to ask about the infamous 'Twardowski' legend).
