HOTEL LOCATION & DESCRIPTION
The hotel is located in the quiet, southern part of Sopot, where there are no discos, and no intense traffic. The hotel is on a cul-de-sac, among pines and villas with gardens so typical to the Baltic. Just behind the fence is a passageway to the beach and the seaside promenade, and also to a small fishing boat landing stage and a number of fish restaurants. Villa Baltica is in the second row of houses, counted from the beach, and a mere 30 m away from it. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the pier, while nearby is a yacht club, horse-race course, and sports hall. The hotel windows look out on surrounding gardens, and some rooms have a view on the grassy-looking hotel car park and the calm street. From the top floors, one can see the sea over the trees.
This yellow, four-storey building originates from 1925, and even after adaptation in 2005 it preserves its original, Sopot style that can also be admired on the old resort vistas exhibited on walls. The lobby and the reception is in the very middle of the villa, and are exceptionally small to give more space for the intimate restaurant with its bar and terrace. Except for the restaurant, there is a spa with three kinds of sauna. Rooms are modern, with individually controlled air-conditioning, and are high, not very spacious, mostly with small windows and numerous mirrors. The yellow and cream coloured standard singles and doubles are equipped with bathrooms, Internet, cable TV, LCD monitors, telephones, magnetic locks, mini-bars, small desks. The larger lux doubles and suites have balconies, and there are superior-class rooms available too. Families and artists are typical hotel guests, with vernissages frequently being organised.
