Popular with young backpackers and the young at heart, Hostel Tamka is named after the street it's located on, a ten to 15 minute walk from the historic Nowy Swiat and Krakowskie Przedmiescie roads. Those wishing to partake in the city's bustling nightlife scene have an eclectic range of bars, clubs and restaurant within short walking distance of the hostel, but a number of buses from the nearby station (100 metres) service Warsaw's central tourist highlights for daytime sightseeing action.
In true hostel-style, interiors at this two-floor budget establishment are plain but pleasant, with four to six wooden bunk beds to a room. Expect small metal lockers for personal possessions, a hands-on staff with party recommendations; the noise from the street outside to penetrate through windows and shared, but clean, bathroom with shower cubicles on each floor. Ground-level common areas include a colourful lounge with two computers, board games and a DVD player; a fully-equipped kitchen and a laundry room.
