The Galicja is just a minutes walk from the UNESCO World Heritage site salt mine. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the main town square with its medieval castle and the main bus and train stations. Krakow takes about 30 minutes by rail or 45 minutes by bus 304 to get to. The airport will take around half an hour by car.
Mid-range rooms decked out in simple, wood furnishings with the odd oil painting lending a splash of brightness to otherwise colourless walls, are on the menu at the Galicja. All spaces include mini-bar, desk and Wi-Fi access. Twee tiled bathrooms come with shower cubicle only. A great touch are the rock salt lamps in every room, sure to relieve fatigue. Salt mine lamps hang from the basement restaurant too, which dishes up pizzas and Polish dishes. A spa and a lift are due in 2010.

  There is free, monitored car parking next to the hotel for up to 20 cars.
• Access for the Disabled:
  There are three rooms which are specially adapted for physically challenged guests. These all have a wheel-in shower with no steps. Currently there is no lift but there is a special stairlift for use inside and outside the hotel.
• Pets:
  Pets are welcome and are charged at 25 PLN per night. Special pet beds are provided.
