Wersal is in the city centre about a five minute walk away from Zakopane's main throughfare, bus and train stations. One of the resort's biggest ski lifts, Wielka Krokiew, and the Kasprowy Cable Car are also within easy reach of the hotel. About a 20 minute walk away is Stacja Narciarska, the city's outdoor pool, which is free to enter for guests of the Wersal.
Wersal is a mega, modern stone clad hotel, with a nod towards a traditional alpine shape and feel. Inside the spartan corridors make the hotel feel a little institutional. However standard rooms are unlikely to disappoint (or wow) anyone - they are decked out with hotel regulation blond wood fitted furnishings, desk, free Wi-Fi and radio. Comfort rooms enjoy bigger beds and a tad more space. All rooms on the first and second floors come with their own balcony from where guests can gaze at mountain views from one side of the hotel. And after sampling some traditional Polish fare in the hotel's bar and restaurant, after dinner diners can stroll through the hotel's immaculate landscaped garden with its miniature shrubs, flower beds and sparkly fountain.
