The Haffner is located outside of the central core zone, on the busy one-way Haffner Street, more than a kilometre from the pier, pedestrian zone and Sopot railway station, and only half a kilometre from the sea. The Grodzisko archaeological site, tennis courts and municipal swimming pool are nearby. The hotel occupies a block delimited by Haffnera, Budzysza, Winieckiego Streets and the Tri-city Landscape Park. Those with rooms with windows on the forested escarpment side can fully enjoy the silence of the area, while the others overlook the hotel terraces and streets of old villas.
Opened in 2002, the hotel welcomes you with its prestigious driveway, leading you to the high ground floor. The lobby, with a bust of Haffner, the resort’s founder, is somehow reminiscent of Paris fin de siècle architecture, the tower’s cupola is something out of a grand magazine, and the Charlie Pub and golf simulator is in the Anglo-Saxon style. Air-conditioned standard and lux rooms, all painted in a delicate yellow and green colour key, are equipped with chip card locks, bathrooms, dark wood furniture, mini-bars, telephones, cable and pay TV, LCD monitors (in most rooms), and free wireless Internet access. The hotel’s motto is Business & Pleasure. The Business Centre has eight conference rooms. Room price includes use of the 15-metre pool designed in the Greek style, the medium-size gym with individual TV screens and earphones, as well as the sauna and Jacuzzi. Inside the well-developed spa, music and light intensity act well together with the treatments. You can follow live cooking in the restaurant, and try a different national cuisine every week. Meals are also served on the terraces and in marquees during special events.
