From the point of view of the casual visitor, the Gotyk hotel has an ideal location on the “must see” Mariacka Street, next to Saint Mary’s church. It is situated on the border between the Main and Old Town, the two oldest parts of the city. The Long Market, dozens of shops with amber and a number of restaurants are just few steps away. There are views of the streets full of tourists and the church. High above your heads the bells will ring out, but other than that the thick walls will preserve the silence. The railway station is less than 1 km away.
This medieval house built of brick and half-timbering is considered the oldest historical building in Gdansk. There are two stones with religious motives on either side of the entrance steps. On the small terrace in front of the door you can sip your morning coffee, unless you ordered it in your room or at breakfast. The interiors are decorated with knight’s swords, metal chandeliers, barrels, and doors reminiscent of a castle. The reception can provide practical information, and is situated in the small, stylish breakfast room that also serves as a meeting place for you. There are two small rooms with new furniture of the Scandinavian type located on each of the three levels. Each room is different, but all of them are equipped with modern bathrooms with showers, cable TV and wireless Internet access. Smoking is prohibited inside.
