Situated in the town of Kobylnica some 12 kilomtres east of Poznan on the E261/5 motorway, Hotel Ossowski is a roadside resort walled in by the sky-reaching pine trees of Zielonka Primeval Forest. To reach this refurbished one-time army complex, a car is the easiest way to go, but a bus does stop 100 metres from the hotel and it will take approximately 25-40 minutes to get into town.
There's an open, airy feel in this spacious three-storey structure, starting with the glass-fronted lobby, broad hallways boasting water dispensers, all ending with good-sized guest rooms, many with views of the surrounding parkland. The decor is conservative but comfortable, with simple wood furnishings, creamy yellow walls and dark-out curtains. All have satellite TV, telephone, Wi-Fi Internet access and private baths with shower cabins, though in higher category units the baths have large tubs, shower robes and lavish bath oils. Besides bedrooms, the establishment offers three conference spaces, a ground-floor restaurant serving European specialties and a summer garden where guests' can dine alfresco.
