Stationed a few streets down from Plac Zawiszy, Hotel Harctur has been open for business since 1959. The location works well, with the Central Railway station and the city's iconic Palace of Culture and Science being just 15 minutes journey via public transport. The Warsaw Chopin Airport is only 7 kilometres away. A handful of tram lines and buses stop right next to this three-storey building, which means guest have easy access to tourist landmarks, shopping outlets and entertainment venues.
Though not much to look at, this three-storey building provides a good-value alternative to downtown's more expensive accommodations. Rooms - divided into standard, economic and lux categories -, are comfortably shabby with bare, functional furnishings that are a few years past renovation. Each comes with satellite TV, electric kettle and telephone. The majority also has shower cabins but the lower-class rooms share a communal bathroom down the corridor.
