Moszczeniczanka is set back from the most historic street in the city, Koscieliska, that connects Zakopane with the Koscieliska Valley. About 10 minutes walk away is the Szymoszkowa open-air swimming pool with thermal hot springs and a ski lift. Also in the same road is the Museum of Zakopane Design. The Gubałowka Mountain train and open-air market can easily be reached in around 20 minutes.
Moszczeniczanka is a stalwart of the Zakopane hotel scene having first opened its doors in the 1970s. Today the hotel has two buildings both with rooms, linked together by a first-floor walkway. Pine-clad rooms in the main building are simply furnsihed, most with single beds, wood furniture and a clean, white-tiled no-frills shower room. Guests can amble along the walk-way with locally carved figurines and admire the painted glass pictures depicting local legands. The second wing has more traditionally decked out sleeping spaces. Summer fun can be had in the garden with its volleyball court, grill and kids playground, while winter blues can be kept at bay by basking in the hotel's sauna.
