For trekkers keen to experience the wild outdoors, but wanting to be near all the action after dark, the Sabala is a good choice. This highlander style hotel is located on Zakopane's main drag, Krupowki, with its numerous bars, restaurants and shops. From Krupowki guests need to turn up a paved ramp and follow the sign to the hotel. To reach the hotel by car, guests need to arrive at the Zborowskiego Street entrance.
The Sabala's exterior sports the distinctive framed wood panelling that is the trademark of many Zakopane residences. Newly remodelled rooms in its main building feature hand carved highlander style wooden fittings such as side tables and wardrobes, bespoke iron crafted lamps and granite stone washbasins. Purple patterned carpets and splashes of colour behind the beds liven up the white walls. Family-sized studios are on the top floor under the eves, while a second building has rooms that are due to get a make-over in 2011. Note, that standard rooms can vary in size. Guests can unwind in the pool under mountain scenery or on the terrace with its panoramic views of the Tatras. Down below, the restaurant's ever popular taverna offers the chance to wolf down some hearty highlander fare.

  The hotel has its own private, monitored car park, which is secured at night. The cost is 30PLN/24 hours. In date 28.12.10-01.01.11 car park cost 50PLN/24hours. Limited number of parking places - request before arrival.
