This villa is located in Koscielisko, and stands in the main street connecting the Zakopane-Chocholow road with the Zakopane-Koscielisko road, on a bend on its western side. The villa is separated from the street by a small, gravel, free car park. It takes twenty minutes to walk to the Koscieliska Valley entrance, while getting to Zakopane, 6 km distant, takes up to half an hour. There is a minibus stop and a grocery store nearby. Your ski instructor can collect you from the villa, and drive you to the ski lifts in neighbouring Witow. From the windows, you have a view over villas with gardens, the owners’ house, the street, car park, and partly on the mountains.
A modern, non-highlander style, yellow guesthouse, opened in 2006 and offering 2-4 person rooms with simple bathrooms, various and unsophisticated furniture from a Scandinavian shop, white bedding with a logo, small and traditional TVs with just a few channels, and access to the Internet. There are some rattan and antique furniture, and you will always remember the crocheted spider net curtains in the front windows, ceramic elephants that are supposed to bring in luck, the triangular windows in the attic, and floor tiles everywhere. This villa is a pleasant surprise for music fans, as music is almost constantly played in public areas and outside. A non-commercial bar with walls covered with wooden panelling, satellite TV, free coffee and tea constitutes the socialising centre, along with the nicely arranged, paid sauna. For the more relaxed guest, there is another “Giewont” in the garden, next to the bonfire place, grill, canopy and children’s playground. A mirror covers almost the entire wall of the dining room, where belly dancing courses are also held. The “Patients Movement” table, an old-fashioned souvenir from a hospital, nowadays commemorates some of the affairs of guests who have appreciated the privacy and liberty of the place. Arrival, departure and breakfast time can be agreed upon, and breakfasts served in bed. Nothing is impossible for the owners, and a relevant sign warns, “Do nothing, have nothing”.
