Opened in the spring of 2010, Boogie Hostel Deluxe is more stylish and mature in feel than its sister property just one street away, but it's just as central and lively. The four-storey 17th century tenement house which it occupies is located right in the thick of things: walk 300 metres and there's the Old Town's Market Square filled with any number of dining and shopping venues. Buses and trams are also at hand to take guests to other points of interest.

A lot of though and effort went into the redesign of this historic building, which now boasts a snappy and informal vibe. The rooms, up an athletic flight of stairs, blend minimalism with affordable chic. They are outfitted with carpeted floors, comfy beds and compact, shower-filled bathrooms that are separated by a sliding wood door. Each unit has a flatscreen television, Wi-Fi Internet access and thanks to big windows, everything inside is flooded with sunlight. There's a mini dining area and kitchenette with coffee and tea, a basement sauna and a little backyard patio where everyone can hang out.

The crazy people got not disturbed, we got another room - no window shutter or even curtain (also 1st floor) - old blood stains on the red over-blanket - showers (in both rooms) flooded - worst "break fast" ever, a few slices of white bread, old jam and the guests had to wash the dishes ... so many dishes were not clean

Fifth floor walkup, broken tv, no soap in shower and they charge you 5 zl for a towell. the breakfest was meager--crappy cheese and a little bread and a few paltry cereal choices. The staff were very nice, though.

The breakfast bar amenities were available during the day, like dishes, etc. and one could use and wash up right there, but the breakfast itself was a little thing. I thought it could use some fresher elements, maybe something warm. I didn't get the TV to work, but it didn't matter, since there was such great access nearby. Staff were great with directions in both Polish and English, knowing trams, recommendations, etc. I was worried it would be loud, but don't recall being dissatisfied with noise and I was on the street side. Courtyard was popular with the guests and would make a great place to meet up with friends over pizza or wine.

We actually got a noisy, red room. Otherwise, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The general decor was quirky and interesting. Continental breakfast was adequate. Perhaps coffee facilities in the rooms would be an improvement?

Breakfast keeps starvation away, but not everybody's taste. Some people walked out on it. On the whole I was lucky to find this place: could have chosen far far worse. Nice relaxed atmosphere, peaceful no stress.Enjoyed my stay. Thanks to all concerned.
