Right around the corner from Dominikanski Square, Lothus Hotel is a solid option for fuss-free travellers seeking good location and connectivity. The city's first parish church, St. Adalbert's Church, and a large shopping mall are both poised on the square, while the bustling Market Square is just 200 metres away. It's also a 10 minute bus ride from the central railway station.
The four-storey building dates back to the early 20th century, but its interior design was given a makeover in 2006 to incorporate more modern fittings. The central lobby area looks more like a gallery of oriental arts with intricately-carved wood furniture, colourful fabrics and a reception desk fronted by a pagoda-like frame. Regrettably, the artistic decor stops short at the lobby as the mid-size guestrooms contain plain wood furniture and carpeted floors, and tiled bathrooms with tubs or shower units. Standard in-room amenities include satellite TV, telephone and wireless Internet access. Other welcome facilities include 3 air-conditioned conference rooms, a massage studio and a spacious restaurant specialising in oriental, especially Vietnamese, cuisine.
