Located on a peaceful side street in the north-eastern part of Gdansk's downtown area, just across from the steel monument to the defenders of the Polish Post Office, Bonum Hotel distinguishes itself from the neighbouring residential buildings by an elegant 18th-century exteriors and a small sign next to the entrance. It's set up inside three lovingly restored tenement houses - boating bright green, beige and brick-built facades - just 800 metres from the central train station and a 15-minute walk from the dockyard, Solidarity Square and the Old Town's touristic highlights.
An intimate and decidedly relaxing place, Bonum Hotel offers elegant grand-hotel service on a bed-and-breakfast scale. The design incorporates the centuries-old features of the buildings - such as the exposed brick walls in the conference room - with thoroughly modern elements to create a casual-chic feel. Living quarters are slightly different in shape and size, but they all have decorative wallpapers, fine beds with wooden backrests, tie beams and hardwood floors. Moreover, they come equipped with indulgent bathrooms, flat-screen cable TV, coffee- and tea-making facilities, safe boxes and high-speed Internet access.
