The Gryf is located at the historical Main Gate of the Gdansk Shipyard and Solidarity Square; within one tram stop is Gdansk’s main railway station and 15 minutes walk away is the Main Town. From the windows there is a view of the docks, the monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers and old houses. Various celebrations and events frequently take place at the monument.
The fenced, four-storey yellow-brown Gryf is housed in the former shipyard medical centre, built in 1970. The building has a completely modernised interior with identically equipped, modern, spacious and simple single, double and triple rooms. There are bathrooms with bathtubs and showers in all rooms. The rooms are painted in warm pastel colours, have large windows and are equipped with new hotel furniture and satellite TV. Smoking rooms are located on the top floor. Red carpets and green plants improve the look of the period concrete staircase. The small breakfast room was extended on the shipyard side with a terrace. A coffee machine and free access to wireless Internet are to be found in the lobby. If you are on a budget, but prefer a central location and a secure car park nearby, then you will appreciate Gryf.
