Away from the hustle of the centre, but within reach of the elegant bars and restaurants stands La Petite, a discreet four-storey villa constructed in 2003. It's situated on top of a hill in the villa district of town, between Kartuska Street and Armii Krajowej Avenue, which provide good access to the hotel, the Tri-city ring road and the airport. The nearest tram stop is located some 300 metres from the guesthouse, and the ride into the Old Town takes only 10 minutes.
Fresher and more modern than the average home-away-from-home guesthouse in the area, this neat little property draws couples, families and mid-range executives seeking cool, cosy pads outside the touristy area. There are modern photographs on the walls of the lobby, and the reception serves as the command post between the kitchen and dining room, the entrance to the very small car park and the stairs. A monochrome palette of cream and chocolate shades carry through bright and breezy bedrooms that open to light, with views through full-lenght windows (and the occasional terrace) over Gdansk. Each comes fitted with fine beds, tiled shower bathrooms, satellite TVs and high-speed Internet access.
