The hotel is located on the edge of the centre, close to Gdynia harbour. It regards itself as being the safest due to the close proximity of police, army and prosecutor’s offices, even in the same building, and the fact that it belongs to the military Hotele 21 chain. Public transport stops, Kaszubski Square, and Sea Towers are close by, and a few minutes away on foot is the main shopping streets of the city and Kosciuszko Square, and after a good quarter of an hour march, or perhaps a bit longer, is Gdynia Glowna railway station. Through the windows you have a view on the busy street and the yard.
Modest in form, the building was built in 1974, last renovated in 2002, and painted in bamboo green outside. You can hardly but notice the maritime accents such as the wind rose motive on the lobby floor, paintings depicting people fishing in the restaurant, and the framed reproductions of ships. This intimate hotel with its twenty-one identical, spacious rooms with wide windows occupies two levels. The rooms’ colours are warm, light yellow and brown, and the arrangement is unsophisticated. The rooms are equipped with solid furniture: beds and sofas, desks, luggage shelves, large wardrobes, cable TV and quite large LCD monitors, radio sets and telephones. The bathrooms are covered with simple mosaics, have showers and hairdryers. Half of the rooms have balconies with a street view. The restaurant invites you to try its domestic cuisine. At your disposal are espresso machine with hot beverages, Finnish sauna, ironing room, electric kettles and fans. The use of the Internet, accessible throughout the whole building, is included in the room price, as well as newspapers delivered to the rooms, and car parking near the green square in front of the hotel.
