The hotel is situated in the seaside district and resort of Orlowo, on a street lined with trees, connecting the main highway of the Tri-city with the pier, beach, and restaurants. In the neighbourhood is the Summer Stage, Zeromski’s house and a shopping centre. The Tri-city SKM train station is 500 m away. From the windows, there is a view of villas with gardens, and a school with its own sports field.
Built in 1936, the Willa Lubicz is a cosy kind of establishment with a colonial type of climate, created by the current owner who is an architect. The hotel has been decorated in the naval style, with photographs of the first owner, Captain Wladyslaw Zaleski, old Gdynia graphics, a travelling trunk, globe, maritime monster motives in the bathrooms, spherical porthole windows, and even a live parrot. In operation since 2001, the hotel offers sixteen rooms: standard, deluxe, and suites. In the regular rooms are bathrooms, and floors and blinds of exotic wood, desks, large beds, safe-boxes, mini-bars, telephones, cable TV and Internet access. Balconies and air-conditioning are additional amenities of the deluxe rooms. With a lift, you get straight to the Captain’s Suite, arranged in especially designed quarters on the roof level, resembling a captain’s bridge, with its own terrace providing a great sea view. The Lubicz surprises by playing music of the 1930s in all rooms; an extremely high wall painting which can only be seen properly from the elevator; a flat bottle of liquor waiting for your arrival; a special Bathing Room with sauna and Jacuzzi included in the room price. On the ground level there is a stylish restaurant known for its exclusive selection of wine, with only four tables, and furniture of wicker on the terrace. You can expect old-fashioned hotel postcards with greetings from Baltic Sea coast.
