Located directly next to the A2 highway on the border of Lubon, Hotel Max is a handy stop-off point for journeys between Berlin and Warsaw. Locally referred to as the "Glass House" the two-storey structure has a reflective glass facade which translates to a cascade of natural light inside. Attractions in the area include a meteorology museum and the Wielkopolski National Park, but a 20-30 minutes bus ride will bring guests to downtown Poznan.
Redecorated in 2008, the property was refitted with a mindful eye on comfort and convenience. Rooms with glazed tile floors and floor-to-ceiling windows have wood writing desks, shower-only bathrooms and satellite TV. Traffic sounds are a bit audible so light sleepers should request a room away from the highway. On the business side, amenities include a breezy 30-seater conference room on the top floor, free monitored car park and property-wide broadband Internet access.
