Separated from the sandy Baltic beach by only 30 metres, Villa Baltica is positioned in a cul-de-sac, among pines and villas with gardens, in the quiet, southern part of Sopot. Dating from 1925, this four-storey property was converted into a hotel in 2005 but its original Sopot style features remain in tact. Just behind the fence is a passageway to the beach and the seaside promenade, and also to a small fishing boat landing stage and a number of fish restaurants. It takes 15 minutes to walk to the pier and the myriad of dining and shopping outlets in the centre, while nearby is a yacht club, horse-race course, and sports hall.
A sense of calm and well-being radiates throughout this seaside villa, from the reception area to the intimate restaurant and irreproachably comfortable living quarters. Modern but laid-back in style, air-conditioned rooms feature mostly small windows and numerous mirrors. The yellow and cream coloured standard units are kitted out with minibars, flatscreen cable television, shower-only bathrooms and Wi-Fi Internet access. Balconies are standard in higher-category rooms and the two split-level apartments have coffee and tea making sets and splendid sea views. In the basement, a full-service spa rounds out guests' relaxation with a variety of body and facial treatments, massages, colour therapy and saunas.
