The Piramida is built on what the hotel claims is healing ground on the edge of the Paprocany Forest and lake in Tychy. Approaching it from Krakow or Katowice on the E75 visitors will encounter a pyramid of glass and concrete, exactly a fifth of the size of an Egyptian daddy. Surrounding the hotel is a boating lake, nature trails, kids playground and plenty of lake side cafes. It takes around 90 minutes to drive to Krakow and 45 minutes to Katowice.
Ancient Egyptian kitsch runs riot at the Piramida, where mind, body and spirit can be rejuvenated. Guests are greeted by statues of fox-faced Egyptian gods, mummies and goddesses galore at every twist and turn around the hotel. Rooms, perhaps thankfully, are Cleopatra free, and are decorated in a brown and cream colour scheme, dark wood fully fitted furnishings, mini-bar, safe plus roomy shower room. Many enjoy views of the surrounding forest and lake and all have slightly sloping ceilings. Health and spa options are endless and include a pool, therapeutic treatments, fitness and massage services. Best bits are the glass topped conservatory perfect for a nighttime slumber and underground chamber with its music therapy and 'power' stones, reputed to give off life-enhancing energy. For total relaxation, guests plunge with pleasure into the large swimming pool or in fitness gym.
