Located about a 20 minute walk from the city centre, the Belvedere has easy access to the Do Białego trek, one of the area's most popular walks, which leads to a valley. The resort makes a good base for exploring other forest and nature walks located on the edge of Zakopane. About 800 meters away is the Wielka Krokiew ski jump and the hotel can arrange ski hire and ski instructors.
The Belvedere almost surpasses its own billing as a 'resort and spa', with probably some of the best recreation facilities of any hotel in Poland. Well proportioned guest rooms are decked out with Rocco style or mahogany wood furnishings, art deco lamps, safe, mini-bar and free Wi-Fi. Many enjoy their own balcony with Tatra peak views. Floors have a different theme, with a classical look on lower levels and a traditional highlander style further on up. Leisure facilities are knock out - the 20 metre pool has a kids area with fun slide, there are full-sized squash courts, gym, sauna and spa. The cellar bar comes with bowling alleys, billiards and golf stimulator. There are two restaurants - the top floor pine wood 'Pod Aniołem' with a mountain view terrace and the more exclusive 'Ziemiańska'. And everyone will fall in love with the Belvedere's family of turtles bobbing about in the lobby bar's aquarium.
