These chalets are located at the start of Strazyska Street, which leads towards Strazyska Valley some twenty minute’s walk away; about the same time it takes to walk to Krupowki. Lipki hill ski lift and the softer skiing slopes are available nearby. From the windows, you can see local greenery and neighbouring highlander houses. In order to get to Gazdowka, look for the Bakowa Zohulina signboard, then turn and cross the bridge over the Mlyniska stream, follow the dirt road for a few metres, until you meet the rear side of the inn.
Ideal for a family vacation, the chalets were built a few years ago in a place where a several hundred year old “gazdowka” highland farmhouse formerly stood. At your disposal are six two-storey chalets, each accommodating up to seven people. The chalets constitute a combination of highlander cottages with holiday houses. Together with the inn, where there are several doubles and one quadruple room upstairs, the chalets give the impression of an open-air ethnographic museum. In order to commemorate the family members who once lived in the farmhouse, the rooms have been named after them: Marynka, Helcia, and Staszek. Almost all is typical of the highland-style, including the holy pictures painted on glass, sheep furs, and humble rugs decorating the interiors. The furniture is of light pine, and was made to order, while the walls are of rough, barked timber, and woodpiles support them outside. The hammocks, however, as well as the grills on the terraces, satellite TV, monitoring, modern bathrooms in colours matching timber, radios and refrigerators with juices and bottled water, all originate from a different, modern world. The inn offers regional cuisine and is decorated with a hearth in the central position, while pastoral bells jingle along the bar.
