The city of Katowice opens its doors to you as our guide leads you through its historical districts and sights. Not as popular as other Polish cities, Katowice is gradually becoming an important business centre and more and more visitors are interested in getting to know it. The tour starts with the monumental, Classicist Cathedral of Christ the King, and continues with the Franciscan Basilica of Katowice. Afterwards, we’ll head on to two historical districts of Katowice: Giszowiec and Nikiszowiec, both of which originally consisted of tenant homes for coal miners and laborers. Both districts are interesting on account of their red-brick architecture and unique atmosphere of Katowice’s working-class past.
